There was the usual disappointing turnout. As I pointed out, I’d been very ill earlier in the week so didn’t discuss the subject I’d wanted. This one was quite interesting though. I mentioned the recent (and apparently false) rape allegation in Paris against the American rapper Chris Brown, and the far more extraordinary allegations against the Scottish politician Alex Salmond.
I alluded to statutes of limitations, which will be discussed properly in a separate live hangout.
I mentioned without naming him some correspondence I’ve had with a guy who was convicted of historical sex offences.
Regarding the previous live hangout (Trawling & Weaponisation) I added that some, perhaps many of these cases are being used by companies to get rid of staff who don’t fit in.
I then covered a number of conspiracy cases from the False Rape Timeline including some cases in which young girls have conspired to fabricate tales of rape and sexual assault, false allegations made purely for money and for other motives, including the Jian Ghomeshi case, the Tyler Kost case, and the Makdessi case.
