A discussion of consent issues, real consent issues rather than feminist fantasies. I began with a discussion of some recent news including the Julian Assange case and Sally Challen. I’ve made a video about this latter case - “The Truth About CONVICTED MURDERESS Sally Challen”. I also discussed the perfidy behind it, in particular the corrupt lawyer Harriet Wistrich.
I discussed date rape/regret sex citing real cases to prove the point. Check out too the earlier live hangout about the three D’s of false rape allegations: drink, drugs, and delay.
No doesn’t always mean no, but yes doesn’t always mean yes. This applies not only to sex.
Consent in situations other than those involving sex.
I discussed corrupt police officers including a brief mention of the Daniel Holtzclaw case and the petition nobody signed.
The pernicious influence of Catharine MacKinnon, and the antidote - an interview with the amazing Camille Paglia.
I read out my unanswered correspondence concerning the misleading claims about rape by Rape Crisis Surrey & Sussex. I also covered the recent ludicrous report on rape from Denmark.
The Christian Newman case. This is interesting. And another clear case of regret sex. Julie Gavin - regret sex with two strangers. Just like that!

If “Chestnuts” sounds extremely simply that is because it is the first piece of music I ever composed, circa 1979. It was written on the acoustic guitar at Chestnut Avenue, Leeds. The jazz musician Xero Slingsby lived in the same house for a time. I found out a year or two ago that he had died young.
This recording was arranged and performed by Diana Bliss in March 2026. Better late than never!
A much earlier recording played (badly) by me on the guitar can be found here:

A slight clarification, Blenheim Square is the name the so-called developers have given this project. The shopping centre is actually called the Blenheim Centre. It also housed the Wilko store which closed sometime ago, and today I noticed the card shop CARD FACTORY had closed. Not that there is much call for cards nowadays.
The square outside the Blenheim Centre is called Empire Square.
