This hangout is a commentary on a talk given by a feminist airhead. It includes a dissection of so-called rape myths and the usual statistical garbage. I also play part of a clip by Lady Colin Campbell who woke up one morning to find the police crawling all over the grounds of her castle because a young woman had falsely reported a rape there. This is to illustrate the point that not all false rape allegations are reported by the media, and sometimes while the initial claim is reported, the retraction isn’t.
I supplement my arguments with illustrations to point out how this powerful lobby deceives the public and policy makers gratuitously.
I mention some specific cases – Rhiannon Brooker and Eleanor de Freitas – as well as false allegations against Donald Trump.

If “Chestnuts” sounds extremely simply that is because it is the first piece of music I ever composed, circa 1979. It was written on the acoustic guitar at Chestnut Avenue, Leeds. The jazz musician Xero Slingsby lived in the same house for a time. I found out a year or two ago that he had died young.

A slight clarification, Blenheim Square is the name the so-called developers have given this project. The shopping centre is actually called the Blenheim Centre. It also housed the Wilko store which closed sometime ago, and today I noticed the card shop CARD FACTORY had closed. Not that there is much call for cards nowadays.
The square outside the Blenheim Centre is called Empire Square.
